WYRESIDE farm park

ST. MICHAELS - ON -WYRE, LANCASHIRE

A little gem of a site, in rural Lancashire. Located just 20 minutes from the major junctions of the M55 and M6 at Preston, our lovely little site, nestled away in the little village of St. Michaels, allows for an easy peaceful get away, from all the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our idyllic family run rural park, offers facilities for:
•   TOURING CARAVANS   •   MOTOR HOMES   •   CAMPING   •

Our 7 acre park, is flat and well sheltered. There are 16 electric hook ups available, for our caravan and motorhome visitors, along with toilets, showers, and pot washing facilities for all our guests to use.
All pitches are around the periphery of the well maintained field, so not invading privacy of other campers.

The park is next to a dog friendly long walk, along the beautiful banks of the River Wyre.
Fishing is also available on the river, with permits available from the local garage (environmental rules apply).

PEACE AND QUIET IS OUR ETHOS, SO NO LARGE GROUPS ACCEPTED.

Our Services


Showers and Washroom

Located nearby the field and main farm house, is the toilet, shower, and washing facilities building.

Touring Field

Peaceful grassed field, for Caravans & Motorhomes, with 16 electric hook-up available.
With adjoining field for children to play.

Friendly Dogs Welcome

We welcome well behaved dogs, but please keep on a lead whilst on site, to respect the other guests.
(Restrictions apply, care to our other animals on site).

Camping Area

Our camping field offers a lovely and spacious area for all tented visitors.
(Optional fire pits available, please enquire - proceeds go to Cancer Research UK).

Bus Service

The local public bus stop, just outside our park, provides access to the surrounding area. West to Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, and North to Garstang, Lancaster, Morecambe.

We approached the site, the owners cottage was straight out of a story book and the site completed the story.

What a find this site was, set in a secluded field next to a river with riverside walks to the local village and pub. The site was level, no need for chocks, surrounded by areas left for nature to inhabit. Wild areas for bees, butterflies and birds to visit, huge cherry trees which were raided by blackbirds each day, total silence except for birdsong.

Hens visited daily and even entered our van for a quick look around. The toilet and showers were immaculately kept and in the pot wash jars of jams and chutneys were on sale for a local charity. All in an area which was open for discovery, check out the map as there are too many places to visit comfortably from this site.

All in all a brilliant site, good for oldies like us or families who want the kids to be safely playing outdoors. Everyone respected the quiet after 10. 30pm notice.

A real find and as they say, we will be back!

A lovely little campsite.

My friend was in a campervan and we were in a tent, we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The site was very pretty with lovely flowers around the entrance. The whole campsite was spotlessly clean.

We will definitely be returning, hopefully in October this year.

Booked this site because of the review's I'd read, I wasn't disappointed at all, on arrival, I met penny, the owner, who I found very welcoming and showed me all I needed to know.

The campsite itself had a lovely feel as I drove onto it, I could pitch wherever I choose, also electric hook up, also a few private static caravans and two pods, a good toilet block with showers and wash area for your pots and pans. Took my dog, some good walks, and the river is so close.

Also there is a lovely pub a short walk away, the food was very nice,

Definitely stay here again, different people I talked to had been coming here for years, so that says it all.

All in all, a lovely quiet clean kept site to relax for a few days or more, next time I come, I'll explore more around At Michaels

We have just got back from yet another lovely stay at Wyreside Farm Park and once again we were not disappointed.

The site is so peaceful and there is wildlife galore everywhere, from frogs to bats and everything in between.

Penny the lady who owns the site is really welcoming and cant do enough for you, a very pleasant lady.

The toilets and showers are immaculate and you can even buy fresh eggs from the free range chickens that wander round the site all day.

There is a pub in the village "The Grapes" that a lot of people from the site use.

STAYED 4 NIGHTS - TOURING CARAVAN

Lovely peaceful site, this was our first time with a trailer tent.

The site is well kept and toilet, shower and pot wash blocks were clean.

Penny the owner was very helpful and allowed us a longer to vacate our pitch so the tent canvas was dry.

The free range eggs were delicious and all the money from them goes to cancer research.

Gorgeous site, very picturesque, great facilities and lovely camping field, not too big.

Nice walks nearby for our dog and great food at local pub.

Other campers and owners were friendly, couldn't fault it,

We really enjoyed our first camping experience and would definitely return.
